This study evaluated the soil fertility of rice fields in Gresik, Lamongan, and Tuban that were identified as copies. Factors such as salinization, physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil affect rice productivity. Using exploratory descriptive methods and cluster sampling, this study identifies soil characteristics and soil fertility index. The results showed that the soil had a clay-clay texture, a neutral-slightly alkaline pH, and a moderate-high KTK. Low salinity (EC <2 dS.m-1), but low C-organic and N-total are limiting factors. The Soil Fertility Index (SFI) ranges from 0.53–0.69 (moderate). Improved management of organic matter and nitrogen is needed to increase land productivity.
