Implementasi Leadership Siswa SD Dalam Kegiatan Pramuka di Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of leadership development among elementary school students through Scout activities as a medium for strengthening character. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at SDN Cipondoh 03. The informants consisted of students participating in Scout activities and the Scout instructors. Data were collected through observation and interviews, supported by simple documentation. The validity of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation, while data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of the study indicate that Scout activities provide a concrete and dynamic space for students to naturally practice leadership roles. Students demonstrated the ability to take initiative in unexpected situations, work collaboratively, and lead their groups in an inclusive manner. They also showed responsibility and consistency in accomplishing assigned tasks even without direct supervision. Beyond these aspects, students exhibited emotional management skills, conflict-resolution abilities, appreciation for differing opinions, and sustained motivation to support group goals. These experiences contributed not only to the strengthening of individual leadership traits but also to the development of social competence and resilience within group interactions. The study recommends that Scout activities be continuously optimized as a strategic program for character and leadership reinforcement. Sustained guidance from instructors, integration with school-based learning, and expansion into broader self-development initiatives are essential for ensuring long-term and holistic student growth
